Colby started dancing Ballet when she was 2 years old. She was a member of Manhattan Youth Ballet’s Studio Company and BalletMet's Pre-Professional Academy before joining Carolina Ballet, where she danced with the company for 5 years. It was there that she also began caring for the babies and children of company staff, which blossomed into her secondary career as a nanny today. She has enjoyed diving into the Montessori and RIE methods, as well as being affectionately referred to by new talkers as “Coco” for almost a decade. Since choosing to embark on an NYC-based freelance dancing career, she has performed as a Soloist with Neglia Ballet, Albany Berkshire Ballet, and EdwardMorgan Ballet. She works with Miro Magloire of New Chamber Ballet and is a member of Galletto Dance.
Lauren Treat is originally from upstate New York and is a dancer and freelance artist in NYC as well as passionate dance teacher to students of all ages. She fell in love with dancing at 2 years old and went on to dance professionally with BalletMet Columbus, Milwaukee Ballet, Carolina Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, and Lydia Johnson Dance, and as a Guest Artist for Neglia Ballet, American Circus Theater, and Artek Ballet. She is currently on faculty at the Dance department of the Riverdale YM-YWHA and at City Stage Dance Academy (Bronx, NY) in addition to teaching Dance and Movement electives at P.S. 24 Spuyten Duyvil, and continuing to perform as a dancer herself.
